As shown in the graphs below Boys numbers has taken an absolute nose dive after Covid, while girls returns to its upward trend, and possibly even ticked up a little more.
2017 was peak Boys at 189 while pre-covid peak girls was 2014-2016 where it was 87 each year. 2018 was actually the year both started to dip a little with

There does not seem to be one bow type that is the cause. Girls Compound and Recurve both bounced back about the same amount to pre-covid levels.
